Las Vegas

So two fridays ago i was getting ready for work and i was like i need to get away for the weekend. So just joking around i texted nate and told him that we should go to vegas for the weekend. He texted me back and said yeah sure. i didn't think much of this because i thought that he was joking. So on my way into work i called him and asked if we could go to vegas again, just giving him a hard time. He said yes again and i was like really because if you tell me yes then we have to go. So we both kinda laughed for a minute and i said but really can we go? He was kinda quiet for a second and he was like lets do it! So it was friday about 11 and we had nothing ready. I left work 2 hours early and Nate did too. We can come and threw some stuff together and then we were on the road by 5:30 that evening. It was a long boring drive down and once we got close we could see all the lights and they looked awesome. I thought that i would try to take a picture of out my sunroof- first off it didn't work at all and second i almost lost the camera to the interstate. So we found an awesome last minute deal online with our hotel so we stayed on the strip! We stayed at Treasure Island and our room was perfect! I loved it and it was almost as big as our tiny apartment! So Friday night we got in around 10:30 (  thanks to the hour that we gained!  :)  ) and we decided to walk around. So we walked around until about 3 am and looked at all the cool hotels, casinos, and shops! When we got back to the hotel room we were both exhausted and ready for bed. Funny story- our bed was too soft that neither one of us slept very well. But the next day we got up and wondered around and looked at a few shops and then grabbed some lunch. One of the main things we wanted to do was watch a water show out in front of the Bellagio but it was pretty far and we didn't want to walk that far. ahaha, so on our way outta vegas that afternoon we got stuck in a lot of traffic and actually got to watch a water show. It was so funny that it randomly started when we got stuck and then it stopped right when traffic cleared! So after we finally got outta vegas we went to the Hoover Dam! There was like zero parking and it was 104 degrees. We walked a really long way and got to see some of the Dam and it was really cool. There are some huge statues and you were suppose to get good luck if you rub their feet so we did that and just wondered around a little more then hiked back up in the what left like million degree heat! We thought about staying in Vegas another night after that but we decided to go home. We got back super late Saturday night and we were both asleep in 2 seconds of being home. I was so happy that we got to take a quick trip and enjoy ourselves! I made me realize that we have a lot more traveling to do before we decided to have kids.

So this was the front side of our hotel... i took this picture while we were sitting at lunch. Someone actually got married on the ship while we were eating... lets just say it wasn't the most classy wedding ever.
We ate lunch at Gilleys. It was pretty good... it was like a western version of BBQ and it was alright.Nate got a chili burger which was pretty good.

This one was taken on my phone so it doesn't look that good.
This one was taken on my phone also.. but this was the bed and i really liked the set up of the room...
The Hoover Dam was really pretty but the water level looked pretty low...
